After you provide NCX with your basic personal information (see How do I get started?), the next step is to enter your property details in our mapping system. Below is a video that walks you through this process.

Instructions
Here are step-by-step instructions for the three options you can utilize to map out your property boundaries:
- Shapefiles/KML file: If you have a set of shapefiles or KML file representing the property boundaries, you can click 'Upload Files'. You can then drag and drop your .kml or .zip'd ESRI shapefiles into the window.
- Select parcels: If you do not have shapefiles/KML files, you can click 'Select Boundaries' and use the parcel select tool on the map to select your parcels. If there is no street address, you can enter the county and state. Using the zoom functionalities (in the lower right of the map) you can zoom in on your specific property. Once you are hovering over your parcel, click the parcel so it turns blue. You can then click 'Save changes'.
- Draw Shapes: If the parcels don't align with your boundaries accurately, I'd recommend trying the Draw Shapes feature instead. Once you click the Draw Shapes button you'll plot your first point and outline the perimeter of your property, dropping points when a change to the shape is needed. To finalize the shape, you'll need to click the first point made and you'll see it change to be blue in color. You can then click 'Save changes'.
Helpful tip: Once you select parcels, make sure to click "Save Changes", and if you want to add additional parcels click "No, I need to add more property".
Once your boundaries are correctly and fully mapped out:
- Click 'Save changes', then 'Yes, this is all of my property'
